In the wake of Abu Dhabi Art, collectors will have another (and perhaps more affordable) reason to purchase original art. This November, a group of local artists are showing their work to help an Abu Dhabi charity.
Paint it Forward is an art exhibition by women, for women. It will feature work by Cuban-born Marah Reinoso Vega, German artist Katharina Moeller and Romanian artists Mioara Cherki and Cornelia Baciu. A percentage of proceeds from all sales will go to Labor of Love UAE, an organisation that aims to improve the welfare of low-income female workers in Abu Dhabi by meeting some basic material needs..
Located at the World Trade Centre on the connecting bridge between the mall and the souk, the exhibition will run from 5th to 19th November.
Speaking to Abu Dhabi Week, Marah Vega said: “I’ve been volunteering with nonprofit organisations like Labor of Love UAE and have seen what a difference they make in the lives of men and women at the labor camps. It’s important to give back and we are happy to support them with this exhibition.”
