Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club (SGSC) hosted its latest Monthly Medal tournament, where Bimal Jain claimed first place with a net score of 69, outperforming a competitive field of club members. The event, held under favorable course conditions, showcased strong scoring across both net and gross divisions.

Sultan Qazi secured the runner-up position with a net 71, while Jian Yu Li rounded out the podium at net 72. In the Gross Division, longtime member George Liu demonstrated consistent play to post a 77 and take top honours.

Jain praised the club and organisers for a well-run tournament, noting that the conditions allowed players to showcase their skills effectively. The results also contribute to the ongoing Gross and Net Order of Merit standings, sponsored by Golf Away, which award top performers with opportunities such as the Captain’s Trip—a highlight of the club’s competitive calendar.

Monthly Medal tournaments like this are significant in maintaining high levels of engagement and skill development among members. By combining structured competition with accessible events, SGSC continues to foster both camaraderie and competitive excellence within the local golf community.

As the season progresses, attention will turn to upcoming tournaments and the cumulative rankings, which will influence selection for club honours and special events. The club’s combination of well-maintained courses, competitive formats, and member-focused programs helps sustain its reputation as a key hub for golf in Sharjah.

For further details on upcoming events and membership offerings, SGSC maintains an online presence and multiple contact channels for reservations and enquiries.
