VentureOne has announced its first entry into the European market through new agreements with Finland’s Unikie and Solita. VentureOne operates under the Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC). The partnerships will assess the use of secure autonomy systems across safety, security, and infrastructure programmes in Finland and northern Europe.

The agreements were signed during a recent state visit from Finland to the UAE. They reflect growing international demand for secure and resilient technologies to protect critical systems.

As part of the collaboration, Unikie and Solita will incorporate VentureOne’s secure flight and communications technologies into their portfolios. These include Saluki, a secure mission computing and flight control platform, and a mesh networking solution for protected communication and mission management. The partners will also explore applications for GNSS-Less, which enables navigation without reliance on GPS.

“VentureOne exists to put made-in-the-UAE deep tech to work driving tangible positive change on an international scale,” said Chris Walton, VentureOne’s Senior Director. “Unikie and Solita bring extensive expertise in integrating smart technology and autonomy into critical infrastructure projects, making them an ideal European deployment partner for us. We’re just getting started on what these partnerships will deliver.”

The technologies were developed by the Technology Innovation Institute, ATRC’s applied research arm. They are designed to support autonomous operations in environments where security and reliability are critical.

Saluki applies Zero Trust principles to autonomous systems. It supports AI-enabled operations and coordinated missions involving multiple vehicles, while protecting control logic and flight integrity.

The mesh networking system enables secure, tamper-resistant communication between drones and operators. It also allows mission coordination across multiple platforms.

GNSS-Less uses vision-based navigation to remove dependence on satellite signals. This reduces exposure to interference and improves safety in contested or high-risk environments.

“Unikie is one of the leading tech companies developing intelligent autonomous systems for vehicles and drones,” said Juha Ala-Laurila, Unikie’s CEO. “We have extensive expertise in autonomous operations, security, and the application of AI within software engineering. Through this partnership with VentureOne, we are even better equipped to provide advanced secure technologies to our customers, thus contributing to a safer Europe.”

“Contributing to the security of Europe’s critical infrastructure is a mission we are deeply invested in,” said Ossi Lindroos, Solita’s CEO. “By combining VentureOne’s state-of-the-art technological solutions with our long-standing expertise of secure software systems, data, AI, and connectivity, we are well positioned to help build safer and more resilient societies.”

The partnerships also support a wider cooperation framework between Business Finland and ATRC. That agreement aims to promote joint research, solution co-development, and stronger innovation links between the two regions.
