ROX Motor, the international luxury new energy vehicle brand, has completed the Iraq stage of its ambitious 25,000 km Silk Road Tour, highlighting the company’s growing global presence and commitment to sustainable mobility.

The convoy entered Iraq after travelling 9,500 kilometres across China, Central Asia, and the Caucasus, tracing historic routes through Mosul, Erbil, and Baghdad. The journey combined extensive test drives with cultural exchanges, underscoring the brand’s mission to connect history with modern innovation.

Showcasing all-terrain innovation

Central to the tour was the performance of the ROX 01 luxury all-terrain SUV, which navigated Iraq’s diverse terrain of plains, mountain passes, and urban roads.

The vehicle is powered by REEV dual-energy technology, integrating fuel and electricity with an intelligent all-wheel-drive system and five driving modes. According to the company, the model offers versatile, efficient, and reliable mobility tailored to local conditions and the needs of Iraqi drivers.

The tour marks ROX Motor’s most high-profile demonstration of its technology in the Middle East to date.

Strengthening partnerships in Iraq

ROX Motor’s partner in Iraq, the Laith Al Obaidi Group, supported the journey by providing technical expertise and infrastructure. The group operates three showrooms and two service centres across Baghdad, Mosul, and Erbil.

These facilities serve as key anchors in ROX Motor’s expanding global service network, while also helping to build a bridge between Chinese automotive innovation and the Iraqi market.

Aligned with Iraq’s sustainability goals

The initiative is closely tied to Iraq’s “Vision 2030”, a national strategy focusing on sustainability and environmental stewardship. By promoting green mobility and investing in local partnerships, ROX Motor aims to align its growth with the country’s long-term development goals.

Company representatives said the Silk Road Tour not only demonstrates the vehicle’s technical capabilities but also represents a commitment to cross-regional dialogue, environmental responsibility, and outdoor lifestyles.

Looking ahead

With its global campaign, ROX Motor hopes to position itself as a leader in new energy vehicles for outdoor enthusiasts worldwide. The company has set a target to become the leading international brand in this sector by 2030.

As the Silk Road Tour continues westward, the brand is expected to expand its footprint in new markets while strengthening its reputation for innovation, sustainability, and lifestyle-focused mobility.
