Dear Abudhabi week,

I was surprised by your last issue in which you asked us to share our rescue stories, because we had a rescue incident the previous day!

This incident happened one week ago when maintenance came to put a net on the roof, where we found many pigeons were staying for shelter.

When people came close to them most of them got frightened and flew away. However, after two days we found three pigeons would never fly away and remained there, of which one was dead .

The other two were struggling and looked ill.

 

We rescued them and gave them water and rice, both of them were reluctant at first to drink the water and to take the rice. After 2 hours we found smaller one of the two had died as well.

Now the last one is with us and is happy and eating well.
