Mangrove clean up a success

mangroveclean

On the last day of their exams, the B Green Club members of Al Bashair School unanimously agreed to go on a clean up.

The team decided to visit the Eastern Mangrove area after seeing how much debris was left behind on a previous research visit.

Armed with gloves and used grocery bags they got down to work. In less than an hour they gathered over 40 kilos of rubbish, which included items such as sheets of plastic, rubber hoses, rusty iron grilles, not to mention loads of plastic bags, bottles, plates, cups and cans.
