The Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) is to build a new convention centre project in Al-Ain. The AED  3.5bn (US$ 953.2m) mixed-use project, slated for the Al-Jimi area of the city, is blueprinted to contain a cultural centre, hotels, as well as residential and commercial facilities.

Local general contractor Al Fara’a has been awarded the construction contract for the first phase of the project, with UK-based Shankland Cox acting as architect for the development.
