James E Bennett has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Abu Dhabi Airports Company.

Previously President and CEO of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA), Bennett led a multi-disciplinary organisation consisting of over 1,400 employees operating Ronald Reagan Washington National, Washington Dulles International Airport and the Dulles Toll Road.

Bennett was, among other things, responsible for the execution of the $7.1 billion reconstruction and expansion of Dulles Airport.
