Road fatalities fall by 21% |
Road fatalities fell by 21 percent in Abu Dhabi during the first three months of this year compared to the same period last year, police said in a statement Saturday. Colonel Hussain Ahmad Al Harthi, Director of the Abu Dhabi Traffic and Patrols Department, said 93 people died in traffic accidents over the past three months — a 21 percent fall compared to the same period in 2009, which saw the death of 118 people. Critical injuries also declined by seven per cent, from 132 in 2009 to 123 this year.
