LG Electronics has unveiled its latest xboom series of speakers, developed in partnership with Grammy-winning artist and entrepreneur will.i.am, in a bid to redefine portable and home audio experiences.

The new lineup, which includes speakers, portable devices and earbuds, aims to provide powerful and immersive sound while appealing to both casual listeners and music enthusiasts. LG said the collaboration with will.i.am has helped establish a consistent sonic identity across the entire series, blending advanced engineering with creative influence from the American musician.

“Through this collaboration, we have enhanced the sound quality of the xboom range, creating a listening experience that resonates with audiences worldwide,” LG said in a statement.

Stage301 leads the lineup

At the centre of the launch is the xboom Stage301, a speaker designed to deliver 120W output through a 6.5-inch woofer and dual midrange units. With multiple equaliser modes, including Deep Bass, Punch Bass and Clear Voice, the device is designed to suit a range of environments from home use to small gatherings.

The Stage301 also incorporates dual bar lighting effects and supports karaoke and DJ features through a dedicated app, reflecting LG’s attempt to merge entertainment with functionality.

Portable options

Alongside the flagship model, LG has released the xboom Bounce and xboom Grab, both aimed at portability. The Bounce provides a wider soundstage with crisp highs, while the Grab adds a hand strap for convenience. Both models include AI sound optimisation, long battery life and customisable lighting to enhance versatility.

Completing the range are the XG8 and Rock (XG2) speakers. The XG8 focuses on bass performance, while the Rock offers a compact, rugged design for outdoor listening. The series is rounded out by xboom Buds, wireless earbuds featuring graphene drivers, active noise cancellation and personalised sound profiles.

Local showcase in Dubai

LG also partnered with Emirati DJ and producer DJ Bliss, who demonstrated the Stage301 at an event in Dubai’s Surf Club Palm Jumeirah. The performance was shared on his social media platforms, highlighting the system’s power in a live setting and reinforcing LG’s regional marketing push.

The collaboration between LG and high-profile artists is part of a wider strategy to connect with younger, lifestyle-focused consumers. By combining portability, lighting features and smart connectivity with established brand associations, LG is targeting both domestic users and entertainment professionals.

A push for lifestyle technology

Analysts say the move highlights the growing trend of consumer electronics companies framing devices not just as functional products but as lifestyle companions. With a lineup spanning speakers, wearables and smart features, LG is positioning the xboom as more than an audio product — an entertainment ecosystem.

The new xboom series is now available in select markets, with LG promoting it as an adaptable solution for everything from home relaxation to large gatherings.
