With two restaurants in Abu Dhabi, this US-born Chinese restaurant has made freshly made fusion food their badge of honour. We love the mu shu chicken, tender stir-fried meat with bamboo strips, cabbage, eggs, black mushrooms, and a secret-recipe dark sauce, all served with traditional wraps and, of course, hoisin sauce. And if you fancy, you can even ask your server to wrap it for you at your table.

Applebee’s
This popular American eatery, which boasts several locations around Abu Dhabi, features an entire section of chicken-based dishes on its menu. But we love the oriental chicken salad, a bed of fresh Asian greens tossed in aromatic oriental vinaigrette, crispy noodles and toasted almonds, all topped with golden fried chicken tenders (or even grilled chicken if you fancy the healthy option).
