It has been confirmed that the 2015 Red Bull Air Race World Championship will once again kick off in Abu Dhabi, much to the joy of aviation acrobatics enthusiasts and adrenaline action fans in the capital.

The Red Bull Air Race World Championship sees the world’s best pilots combine speed, precision and skills to win this one-of-a-kind aerial challenge.

In their lightweight purpose-built racers, the pilots have to navigate a predefined, low-level racetrack marked by air-filled pylons – called air gates – aiming to get to the final line as fast as possible without incurring penalties.

The eight-race event will begin in the UAE capital, where spectators will be able to admire the show from the Corniche beach on 13th and 14th February.

The race will then move for the first time in its history to Japan, with a stop in Chiba – not far from the capital Tokyo – on 16th and 17th of May. In another first the flight daredevils will plummet into Sochi, in Russia – the recent host city of the 2014 Winter Olympics – on 30th and 31st May. The first leg of this event will then conclude in Budapest, with the Hungarian capital welcoming the event on 4th and 5th of July.

Restarting on 15th and 16th August from Ascot, UK, the thrill-seeking pilots will then head to Spielberg, Austria (5th and 6th September); Fort Worth, Texas (26th and 27th September); and Las Vegas, for the much-anticipated finale on 17th and 18th October.
