Young patients – and padawans – at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City were recently graced by a visit from some very special extraterrestrial visitors.

Three Stormtroopers from the movie Star Wars – who had made the trip from a galaxy far, far away – accompanied twofour54 CEO Noura Kaabi to the hospital to visit children.

Al Kaabi and the members of the Dark Side’s Imperial Army toured the hospital as part of twoufour54’s #United4UAE initiative, which pledges to devote 2,545 volunteer hours from employees and partners to the community and charities.

After seeing the facilities, Al Kaabi and the soldiers hosted a story-telling session with the hospital’s young patients in support of the ‘Wanna Read?’ campaign.

The initiative was launched by HH Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan to provide hospitals with reading rooms and educational games for children to learn while they recuperate.

On the visit, Al Kaabi said: “Visiting the children of Sheikh Khalifa Medical City with the Star Wars Stormtroopers today was a wonderful opportunity to put smiles on their faces and play my part in giving back to the community.”

She added: “HH Sheikha Shamma’s initiative provides a unique environment for children to learn as they heal and I am proud to support this worthy charity through twofour54’s “United4UAE” initiative.”
