Both amateur and professional photographers can enter the 2012 Photography Contest at Al Ain Zoo by capturing candid zoo moments on camera until 12th May, with photographs encouraged across various categories – mammals, birds, reptiles, plants, people and places. A jury from the zoo will select the top 12 images to be included in the 2013 Al Ain Zoo calendar, with a portion of the proceeds going to the zoo's conservation projects. Winners will be honoured at a ceremony at the zoo, receive gifts and an exclusive zoo tour. Open to participants aged seven years and above, with each photographer allowed to enter up to ten photos.
