After its successful production of ‘The Seagull’ at The Village Club, Resuscitation Theatre is back with another innovative adaptation of a classic play which is to be held at Cubes in One to One Hotel – the Village.

 

The Cocktail Party, by T.S. Eliot is a site-specific work, created especially for the atmospheric environment of The Cubes Lounge. Set during a cocktail party and its aftermath, four characters discover each other’s dark secrets, helped along by their ‘guardians’; falsities are uncovered and the twists and turns of their relationships are revealed. Once again challenging Abu Dhabi audiences to unconventional theatre styles, The Cocktail Party will be performed in Promenade Theatre to create an intimate and interactive evening.

The play is staged to invite the audience to follow the characters on their journey through innovative use of space.  Limiting the audience size ensures that the intimacy of the moment is not lost. This breaks the boundaries of conventional theatre and certainly is one of the first productions of its kind in Abu Dhabi.  The invitations will be limited to 50 tickets for each performance and can be bought from the One to One Hotel – reception for AED 50 each.

The performance dates are 6^th, 7^th, 8^th October.
