We love the healthy date and nut muffin available at Tim Hortons, Mushrif Mall. The staff wouldn’t reveal the ingredients but we definitely detected ginger, walnuts and hazelnuts. This one will fill you up. Cost AED 8. Contact 055 213 6845.
Bateel
After a long day of shopping at the Abu Dhabi Mall we love popping into Bateel for a tasty and flavourful gourmet snack. We love the dates on offer here – filled with caramelised ginger and orange peel, candied pecans and crunchy almonds. But our favourite things (and great gift ideas) are the off-the-wall date products on offer, think date jam, sparkling date juice and even date pesto! Contact: 02 645 2121.
