Your Abu Dhabi - Umar Hassan

Work-life balance
I think my absolute favourite thing about Abu Dhabi is the work-life balance I have found here. I am so glad that I can have a long work day and yet still go to the gym, spend time with my wife and go out to eat in the evening! In most cities you would just not get the time to do anything else on a weekday, apart from work-gym or work-home – but over here I seem to be able to do so much more with my time.

Air conditioning
I love that everywhere you go there is air conditioning to keep you cool – even on the hottest of days. It means that most of the time you don’t even feel the hot weather, even if it’s absolutely boiling outside.

Beaches
The beaches in Abu Dhabi will be near the top of most people’s lists of what they like about Abu Dhabi, and my list isn’t much different! My personal favourite is the Corniche beach, I can gaze at it for hours.

Food
Everyone knows that the food in Abu Dhabi is amazing – and if they weren’t sure then their expanding waist line would let them know loud and clear! The best thing about the food is not only that you can get a large variety of almost every cuisine in the world, but you can get it at the most affordable price at a simple restaurant.

Hotels
I love that there are so many top-quality hotels in such close proximity in Abu Dhabi. They are a great place to go for a relaxing dinner or even just a coffee. The weekend brunch at most of the hotels is also something that can’t be missed. It is worth going to some of the hotels just to admire the architecture or enjoy the stunning views they have to offer. Spending a few nights in one of them is also a way to relax, rejuvenate and get away from the stresses of every day life, without going too far away from home.

Have your say
