One of the secluded eateries at the rear of Marina Mall, funky fusion diner Zyng Asian Grill has long been one of our favourite spots to grab a quick bite to eat thanks to the tasty food, generous portions and cheap prices. Star of the show has to be the wonderfully sticky Teriyaki chicken skewers coated in sesame seeds – just delicious.

Rosemary skewered sea bass @ Amalfi
Although not technically meat on a stick, the rosemary skewered sea bass from Head Chef Mauro Pio at Amalfi is so delicious we couldn’t leave it off our list. Maybe Chamas’ main rival for the attentions of the capital’s carnivores, The Meat Co is well renowned for its wide variety of non-vegetarian fare. And it doesn’t get much better than the Butcher’s skewer – a mightily meaty spear of succulently juicy Aberdeen Angus chunks. Pure manna on a stick.
