Top Three...Shawarma

Automatic Restaurant
This Lebanese chain has two outlets in close proximity to each other on Hamdan Street but it is the slightly shabbier of the two that you want to visit if you’re looking for a good shawarma. Simple but scrumptious – their chicken shawarmas are perfectly spiced and beautifully tender with just the right amount of sauce.

Lebanese Flower
Any list of tasty Arabic wraps in the capital would not be complete without mentioning the legendary Lebanese Flower – an absolute must for the discerning shawarma fan. Friendly staff, great fresh fillings (chicken, potato and pickles) and just the right amount of yoghurt dressing - all for the bargain price of just AED 5.

Maroush
For authentic, well-priced and just plain delicious food, Maroush is hard to beat. Located just off the Corniche, their mouthwatering shawarma contains chunky meat, a rich tahini taste and just the right amount of potato, all loosely wrapped in perfectly toasted unleavened bread. Simply eat and enjoy – Mabrouk!

I have tasted shawarmas from all 3 restaurants. All are good but Lebanese Flower tops the lists.
