Top five...Top spots to pick up National Day kit

This weekend, both nationals and expats alike will turn out in force to celebrate in our fair land – you can show your national pride by kitting out with garb and goodies from these proud proprietors.

ADNOC: What better way to top off your National Day outfit than with a baseball cap adorned with the outline of the UAE coloured in to resemble the flag? Talk about bridging the gap between East and West.

Hamdan Street: If you can imagine it, someone on Hamdan Street has it. This ancient street in the middle of the city – also known as 5th Street – is the gold standard in fun and funky National Day kitsch.

The Pink Shops: No one on the mainland could survive without the Pink Shops in Khalifa City A. You’ll find plenty of interesting items all decked out in UAE green, black, white and red.

LuLu and Carrefour: Loads of UAE flag stuff is on offer for good prices at the major grocery stores. We particularly love the giant soccer balls at LuLu, all liberally sprinkled with UAE flags.

Abu Dhabi Co-operative Society: The name of the game this year is National Day head gear, and the Co-op is the spot for yours. Show your devotion and keep your hands free with a giant, and slightly ridiculous, UAE hat.
