Top Five...Waterfront restaurants

One of the best things about living in Abu Dhabi is that you are never far from the water. Consequently, there is no shortage of restaurants in the capital offering waterfront views. Abu Dhabi Week rounds up our top five…

Vasco’s
Whether soaking up views of the Arabian Gulf from the waterfront terrace or watching the chefs cooking up a storm in the open kitchen, you can always expect one thing from Vasco’s … and that’s consistently excellent food.
Cost: AED 300-400 per person

Finz
Possibly one of the most perfect alfresco dining spots in the capital with its stunning ocean backdrop, Finz is also one of the finest seafood restaurants. Offering a surprisingly large variety of cooking methods from wok to tandoori, this place is a must for all seafood lovers.
Cost: AED 400-500 per person

Pearls & Caviar
Technically two venues – Pearls is the chic bar upstairs, while Caviar is the downstairs restaurant – the outdoor terrace of this upscale eatery provides one of the most stunning waterfront views in Abu Dhabi, namely that of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque just across the channel.
Cost: AED 400-500 per person

Elements
Although we’re stretching the definition of waterfront slightly here, Elements at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr does have a spacious outdoor terrace overlooking water and that’s enough for us to include it. With one of the best Friday brunch deals in town, it’s easy to see why Elements is so popular.
Cost: AED 250-350 per person

Nautilus
One of the city’s newer seafood restaurants, Nautilus is also one of the finest. With an outdoor terrace offering stunning views of the Yas Marina (its soon-to-open Yacht Club) and a sumptuous menu, Nautilus is all the reason you need to make the trip over
to Yas Island.
Cost: AED 300-400 per person
