Reasons Abu Dhabi is great for kids

Reasons Abu Dhabi is great for kids

1. The family vibe: The traditional culture of the UAE is still very grounded in the family dynamic. Unlike in many Western nations, the single parent family is the exception rather than the rule in Abu Dhabi, giving children lots of good examples of the nuclear family structure.

2. Exposure to other cultures: With a wonderfully diverse range of nationalities represented, Abu Dhabi is a melting pot like no other. Kids get to see firsthand the clothes, customs, food, languages and beliefs of people from around the world in a non-threatening, informative setting.

3. The (mostly) marvellous weather: Of course the summer is hot, but the worst weather is generally a sand storm, and children can swim all year around.

4. Excellent schools: Ok, there’s been the recent fuss over health and safety issues and a few select schools. But on the whole, education in the Emirate is particularly great. Children are offered an outstanding level of education in Abu Dhabi and the mix of teachers from across the globe means students benefit from the best practices of many nations.

5. High child tolerance: For the most part, people are very patient with children in Abu Dhabi. If your child is crying in public, for example, most passersby will look on you with sympathy rather than glares and may even try to help.
