Best shops for women’s business wear

While the capital is awash with shops full of clothes for businessmen, finding professional office gear for women can be a tougher task than you could imagine. Check out these stylish shops recommended by Abu Dhabi’s own House of Colour image consultant Kirsty Volpe (050 262 7419).

1. Banana Republic: Modern, clean, simple and sophisticated designs that are flattering to the modern woman – a good collection of sleek suits, straight trousers, wrap and shift dresses that are easy to mix and match for your work wardrobe. Located in Al Wahda Mall.

2. Marks & Spencer: One of the UK’s leading retailers for good reason; you’ll always find stylish, good-quality bags, shoes, blouses, skirts, trousers and dresses (though you might have to hunt around for them). Fetouh Al Khair Centre (which is always called the M&S Mall anyhow).

3. Massimo Dutti: This front-runner for up-to-date styles for the season always has a good selection of quality urban, professional clothes for the working woman in styles that are feminine and classic. Can feel pricey, though. Abu Dhabi Mall.

4. Reiss: Great for beautiful classic suits, dresses, blouses, bags, belts and shoes. At this mid-market store, you’ll find exceptional tailored, design-led original pieces. You will pay a little more for high-quality pieces, but it’s worth it! Marina Mall.

5. Zara: The trendy high-street store has quality design and reasonable prices – good value for money and fresh up-to-date styles with a natural, boho feel. In store at the moment is a great choice of neutral pieces in white, cream, tan and beige which are great colours for mixing and matching. Marina Mall.
