With more mega malls on the way for Abu Dhabi, it’s fast becoming a major hub for first rate global shopping. Here are just a few hot spots the city’s fashionistas need to click their heels to pronto!
1. Uterqüe: One of Abu Dhabi Mall’s newest clothing instalments is a Spanish chain that boasts effortlessly chic garments suited for both work and play, from Chanel-inspired quilted bags to that studded pale pink leather jacket we’ve got our eyes on, even if the weather’s getting too hot to sport it and it’s in the thousand dirham category.
2. Zara: In an ideal world, we’d love to see the entire family decked out in their gear (they’ve got Zara Kids and Men as well). And with their prices getting more and more shockingly reasonable, this could soon be a reality. They’re very much on the ball when it comes to the latest trends and are ace at sleek tailoring, killer heels and comfy basics. You won’t go anywhere in their pieces without a compliment.
3. Splash: No budget fashionista in Abu Dhabi could do without it. They cater to a range of looks fresh off the international catwalks but are probably best for bright and bold prints and patterns, graphic tshirts and dresses for all occasions.
4. S*uce: Proudly UAE, this is the Maserati of fashion shops in Abu Dhabi, and when we say that, yes we do mean it’s expensive but it’s also only stocked with truly one of a kind, hand-picked pieces of show-stoppingly chic jewellery, clothing, handbags and unique gifts for trendy gal pals. It may take you a while to get your hands on any piece you’re eyeballing here but they’re all worth the investment if you don’t want to sport what everybody’s wearing.
5. Vincci: Any Abu Dhabi shoe fanatic would call this home. Shoes, shoes and more shoes, from the flirty and floral to the sequined and the sophisticated. This Malaysian brand has a huge UAE following with new styles in stores each week; it also sells funky accessories and handbags.
