So what’s the deal?
A major hair overhaul can update your look – and mood – literally overnight. In one evening, The Beauty Spot transformed one drab hairdo into long, sultry locks.
Consultation is king at The Beauty Spot – owner Vicky Powell and master colourist Walid Haykal debated for over half an hour exactly which length and shades would most complement our eyes, skin tone and lifestyle.
After a course of corrective highlights, we were ready to attach.
Using the GL32 system, our talented technician Gloria used the mild heat of a mini iron to mould the keratin of 175 strands of 100 percent human hair extensions over tiny sections of our natural hair – each bond looks like the plastic bit at the end of a shoelace, all carefully hidden under layers of our own hair, which is left undamaged.
After two days, the bonds were set, so we went back for a final wash, cut and style – and the results were spectacular. Overall style time is cut way down as the extensions don’t need washing more than every two or three days, and they last up to four months.
