MOre than 8,000 fans turned out at the Destination Village to watch the five-strong Volvo Ocean Race fleet arrive in the capital last Wednesday. Over 10,000 visitors were received last weekend, to take part in all the attractions, activities and entertainment put on by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority.

One of the highlights of the stopover so far was the Abu Dhabi Junior Sailing Festival presented by Etihad Airways, which saw 120 youngsters take to the water in Optimist dinghies from the Abu Dhabi Sailing & Yacht Club.
