Visitors to Manarat Al Saadiyat were treated to an evening of traditional Mesopotamian music and Arabic poetry for Artscape NEO Babylon. The event on Thursday 23rd June celebrated the close of the popular Splendours of Mesopotamia exhibition, which attracted 25,000 visitors since March. Iraqi Singer Farida Mohammed Ali with the Iraqi Maqam Ensemble performed with Syrian poet Omar Al Farrar and children participated in workshops, making their own forms of art inspired by Mesopotamian artifacts.
