Thousands of wide-eyed spectators gathered along the Corniche to cheer on as 15 daredevil pilots from across the world who opened the Red Bull Air Race World Championship in breathtaking style above Abu Dhabi.
Both Friday and Saturday saw high-flying action across the capital’s skies as the air aces battled it out for the title – won eventually by Hannes Arch for Team Abu Dhabi. After an exhilarating performance, the weekend ended in an equally spectacular style with a show-stopping firework display.
