Over 250 patriotic revellers turned out in force to celebrate this year’s annual St.George’s Day Ball, which proved to be a landmark event for the Abu Dhabi group. Not only did the Abu Dhabi branch of The Royal Society of St George celebrated its 30th anniversary with a lavish event at the Crown Plaza Hotel, but all proceeds from the glamorous evening were donated to the work of campaigning schoolboy Cameron Oliver, whose single-handed efforts to protect the nation’s camels from the dangers of debris has been highlighted in the pages of Abu Dhabi Week.
