Bubbalicious Brunch at the Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa

Brunch bonanza

westin brunch

When we were invited to check out the brand new Bubbalicious Brunch at the gorgeous Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort and Spa, we had high expectations. And rightly so: this brunch knocked our socks off.

Fairways restaurant feels both sleek and homey all at once. Decorated in sandy tones and dark wood, the floor-to-ceiling windows that open up to the greens of the Abu Dhabi Golf Club made for some lovely views.

But enough about that, it’s the food that really steals the show. With cooking stations scattered throughout the floor, you’re spoilt for choice - Asian, Indian, Arabic and Italian to name just a few. After a quick tour of all the samplings we head over to the salads for some starters. We couldn’t get enough of the caprese salad with toasted pine nuts and an absolutely luscious caramelised pumpkin spiced salad.

After revving up our appetites with the greens we headed over for some sushi and mains. The seafood on offer is really outstanding and with such an enormous array of variety we couldn’t help but make a quick detour on our way back to our table. Plate in hand, we made a quick stop at the foie gras and scallop station, and left with a perfectly seared scallop in hand topped with a delicate foam. It melted in our mouths and could only be described as a little bite of heaven.

Depending on your preference, this brunch comes with all sorts of mixed beverages and bubbles. We opted for some green Jing tea (infused with passion fruit) that was refreshingly zingy. Then to top it off, we ended a fabulous meal with an even more fabulous dessert selection that features a chocolate fountain and a rotating frozen yogurt station that we just had to sample (more than once).

The consistent quality offerings and attention to detail is what made this brunch so special. Every dish we sampled (and there’s too many to mention!) was cooked with care and beautifully presented. The only thing we wish they’d done was turn down the music, as we ended up shouting across the table to our guests instead of chatting. Ear plugs aside, this is one brunch that really does stand out from the rest.

Hi Beatrix,

Please note that these places serve alcohol and thus I am amazed why you would take your kids here. This is something that amazes me with Western families in UAE. This is bad influence on kids and could lead to problems later on. We should all be careful on what we explose our kids to at this young age.

Cheers.

This seems like another great option in AD. I will have to check though if it is as god as the fairmont brunch, which has become our Friday ritual now. I would need more details on the offering though.

This is perfect value for money with excellent location and great atmosphere. Love AD where I earn 5 times more than what I earned in Australia and can enjoy these luxuries of life.

Look forward to the brunch at Westin.

Sounds very good - but def too expensive for a famiy of three or four. As many places here in Abu Dhabi. Not everybody here is able to crack the bank for a great brunch out.

AED980 for bubbles brunch for two. Plus, no doubt the obligatory 16%. Roughly 200 pounds or 300 dollars for essentially a buffet! You can eat well, with a bottle of grape beverage included, in some excellent London restaurants for that!
Have your say
