Huge number of fans attend official opening ceremony

Al Ain's star striker and current top scorer Asamoah Gyan surpised excited fans as he made a special appearance to open the club's new Community Football Championship and kicked off the first match between Al Masoudi Street and Hili Street, which ended 2-2.

The championship was also attended by Mohammed Abdullah bin Bdoua, Al Ain board member, Ali Hamad Al Muhairi, head of social services for Al Ain Municipality and Fahd Ali, sports event manager for the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.

Organised by the ADSC and Al Ain Municipality, the championship will run until 26th April.
