The 12th Corporate Masters World Final presented by Etihad Airways was heralded as a “Major” success yesterday. The global event series culminated in a sensational finale played at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club

A fiercely drawn out competition and the most diverse final to date saw the winning team from the Manchester Corporate Masters clinch the title with a 42 point total. Tim Fox from Friends Life and his client Sam Shibil, produced a great display around the challenging course edging out last year’s winners from Bangkok, Yukol Yingyongkij and Suchart Prumaron on a count back.

In keeping with the tradition of The Masters in Augusta each year, the winners were presented with the prestigious Blue Jackets, styled by leading Italian fashion house Brioni, at the Gala Dinner to mark their achievement.

2011 saw the Corporate Masters truly go global with tournaments held at some of the world’s most prominent business centres including Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai, London, and Mumbai, with events taking place for the first time in Bangalore, Calcutta, Delhi and Toronto.

Local winners of the Abu Dhabi and Dubai Corporate Masters as well as the inaugural Emirati Cup competed against winners who had flown to the UAE with Etihad from 12 locations worldwide.
