Besides catching a flu every time a season changes, there is nothing not to love about fashion week.
From New York, to London, and Milan, designers are bombarding the fashion crew with next season's hot trends. There was a lot of colour, print – pop to be exact – coupled with a retro and timeless sportswear twist, paired up with loafers and oxford shoes.
Pencil skirts and white bottoms seemed to be dominating most runways, along with the suit – which happens to be one of the fall season’s hottest trends.
Minimalism is also a huge trend, adopted by many designers.
Our very own Emirati talent has also marked its presence in this highly anticipated fashion event. Hind and Reem Beljafla, the designers behind the abaya haute couture house DAS are to showcase their ready-to-wear collection in London next week. Thumbs up to all Emirati designers!
However, my favourite looks for next season have to be by America's sweethearts: Derek Lam and The Row by the Olsen twins. Good news then that these designers ship to the UAE. Log on to their websites and purchase your favourite pieces!
