Ladies, although accessories this season scream neon and everything bright, when it comes to nails, the trend veers to the opposite end of the spectrum. Nude is in. I know it is summer, but a lot of designers opted for toned-down nails. This is not to say that you cannot enjoy bold nails, but if you are an avid fashion follower, then it is suffice to let you know that right now it is all about classic red, pastels, mellow yellow, mixed with metallic patterns and cool ombres.
Allow me to walk you through my favourite hues, with images to feed your imagination:
- Milky White nails. What I love about this is that if you are olive skinned like me, then applying this shade will instantly make you skin look tanned. I love how it looks. Plus classic white compliments any outfit.
- Rose pink nails. I don’t think there’s any colour that screams “girly” more than this. Chanel’s models rocked this hue. It is also a more preferable choice for those who would love to wear colour, but not too much.
- Deep burgundy nails. Always a classic shade of red, this colour is chic, and beautiful to wear at extravagant events.
- Coral nails. If you want to rock the neon trend, then you can with this hue. It looks amazing on any skin tone, not to mention how much it boosts your mood. I cannot stop looking at my nails when I wear this.
- Mellow yellow nails. Yellow is a huge trend this season. I’m glad to see this trend transferred onto nails. It is also the perfect shade of yellow. Not too bright and too dull.
- V shape patterns. Patterns in general are major this spring. Unleash your imagination and opt for artistic designs. I personally love this V shape pattern. It looks elegant, and at the same time you could combine your favuorite hues. Perhaps a bright one and a nude?
