I LOVE MALAAK

How many times have you been shop-hopping in search for the perfect abaya?

ilove

I know some who order their abayas from Saudi Arabia or Bahrain because they cannot find what they are looking for in the UAE.

Sad, but true. However, luckily for us, this is not the case anymore.

With the rise of many abaya designers in the past few years or so, we have witnessed the emergence of beautiful innovative designs, embroidery work and craftsmanship.

One of the many reasons why I love to attend annual exhibitions such as the Bride Show and Chic Lady is to be introduced to new abaya designers in the UAE and view their latest collections.

About a year ago my cousin introduced me to the MALAAK haute couture abaya house and I was so grateful she did.

The designer behind the brand, Huda Nuaimi – an Emirati – incorporates the latest trends on the runway to the traditional abaya without obstructing its essence.

Ladies, think bold shoulder pads, studs and trendy fabrics all integrated in abayas that emphasise your femininity in a modest way.
Huda's latest collection is out of this world and it is currently stocked at Saks Fifth Avenue department store in Dubai as well as in her own flagship boutique in Jumeirah. Huge, right?

My current favourite is the gladiator abaya with the bold shoulder and gold studs. What's yours? Share your views by dropping me a tweet @manar_alhinai
