The world is watching

Didn’t get tickets to the Abu Dhabi Formula One Grand Prix? Never fear – there are plenty of spots around the capital where you can get in on the action

theworld01

The Yasalam FanZone

With all the concerts, exhibitions and Formula One madness going on at the F1 FanZone, you might have forgotten that they’ll also be showing the big races live on giant outdoor screens – even better, it’s free! Open Saturday to Wednesday 5pm to 11pm and Thursday and Friday from 4pm to midnight. Going on now until 13th November. For more information, visit www.yasalam.ae.

NRG at Le Méridien

One of the capital’s favourite spots for sports, NRG at Le Méridien will be showing the Formula One on giant screens for all to enjoy – from inside or out on the terrance. Get there early and check out the happy hour specials from 4pm before the race kicks off at 5pm. To find out more, call 02 644 6666.

The Tavern at Sheraton Abu Dhabi

Watch all the main Formula One events in the cosy and authentic British atmosphere of The Tavern, Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel and Resort. With happy hour specials on all three race days and a 20 percent discount on their much loved comfort food and beverages, The Tavern is the place to be. For reservations or more information, call 02 677 3333.

Sea Lounge at Monte Carlo Beach Club, Saadiyat Island

The weather is perfect for a day under the wide Abu Dhabi sky – why not get in on the Formula One action with audiotonic and MustHaveSoul at the swank new Sea Lounge? Watch the big races live then boogy all night long under the stars. With a special guest DJ yet to be announced, it promises to be ab-SOUL-utely fantastic. To book a table, call 02 656 3500.

Hemingway’s at Hilton Abu Dhabi

Join Hilton Abu Dhabi for the live screening of the spectacular Formula One Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Hemingway’s and cheer on your favourite teams and drivers over an array of specials. Stay on after the races for music with the resident duo or pop into the Jazz Bar & Dining and dance the night away. Find out more at www.hiltonracing.com or call 02 681 1900.

PJs at Le Royal Méridien

Race fans with a flair for art won’t want to miss watching the Formula One at PJs. Why? F1 artist Armin Flossdorf will be visiting Le Royal Méridien with his racy exhibition and will also be conducting a live painting session for VIPs. While you’re there, head up to Al Fanar and see what’s on their new contemporary menu created by Chef Victor Andrade. To find out more, call 02 674 2020.

Stars N Bars, Yas Marina

We’ll be at Stars N Bars anyway, so we might as well set up shop and watch the Formula One over a cold one right outside the track. One of our favourite spots in town day or night, Stars N Bars is home to that fun race atmosphere all year around, so we wouldn’t miss it during the big event. Check them out at www.starsnbars.ae or call 02 565 0101.

Allure at Cipriani, Yas Island

If you can’t make it into the grand stand, Cipriani is the next best thing. Check out the cars as they fly past the beautiful people taking it all in on Cipriani’s outdoor terrace. You won’t want to miss the party going on all week at Allure at Cipriani including superstar guest DJ Mark Ronson. For table bookings, prices or more information, call 02 657 5400 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
