J. Edgar

The latest directorial offering from Clint Eastwood, J. Edgar is the story of an iconic 20th century American trying to mold his legacy in his fading days. While Leonardo DiCaprio is superb in the title role and the casting, costumes and attention to period detail are equally impressive, the slow-moving convoluted nature of this biopic makes it quite hard going. Nevertheless, this is a fascinating portrayal of a truly complicated and often unlikeable man – worth investigating.
