Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I

In this, the penultimate chapter of the popular vampire romance series, Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) must deal with the chain of consequences brought on by a marriage, honeymoon and the tumultuous birth of a child. Shamelessly cheesy, drawn-out and over-the-top, Breaking Dawn Part 1 may satisfy the Twilight faithful, but it’s strictly for fans of the franchise. The script is flat, clichéd and repetitive, while the action scenes – the only redeeming feature of the previous films – are pretty much non-existent. It may be billed as a saga, but to our mind it just sags.
