The Debt

In 1997 two retired Mossad Secret agents (played by Helen Mirren and Tom Wilkinson) find out shocking news about their former colleague (played by Ciaran Hinds). Jump back to 1966 and we find out why the three have been venerated for decades - they tracked down Nazi war criminal Vogel in East Berlin and “accomplished their mission” – or did they? Remaining solid throughout with powerful performances from the likes of Mirren and Jessica Chastain, it unfortunately falls apart at the end.

Although the film is nice, but it portrays the Mossad as a civilized with high humaniterian value and the noble cause of protecting the interest of home land (Israel). This film should not make to the Arab screens especially the UAE having the Mossad violated the soverinty of the UAE and executed a Palestinian figure on UAE soil. Arabs see Mossad as executors of Palestinian intellects and patriots and killers of Palestinian families. It is unlike what this film portrays them.
