Ryan Reynolds stars in Warner Bros’ latest comic book adaptation about a test pilot who is given a mystical green ring by a dying alien and finds that it gives him otherwordly powers, as well as membership into an intergalactic squadron tasked with keeping peace in the universe. Green Lantern is a rip-roaring space opera filled with adrenaline-fuelled action scenes, memorable characters and top quality CGI. While not exactly original or groundbreaking, it’s still fantastic fun and a great way to spend an afternoon.
