Dance Flick

farcicalflickThe idea of yet another parody carrying the theme of weak humour and cheap shots at being funny fills us with despair, and the latest effort by the Wayans brothers does little to convince us to change our minds.
Following on in the same style as the Wayans’ previous efforts in Scary Movie, this no-brainer spoof has thrown together a mishmash of digs at dance films including Save The Last Dance, Hairspray, High School Musical and Flashdance.
Tracy Transfat (Bush) is a rich suburban girl who finds herself in a series of predicaments when she moves to the city. Luckily, she meets street-smart Thomas (Wayans Jr) who takes her under his wing and together they help realise each other’s dreamsas they enter a dance contest with the help of their friends.
Expect all the usual traits of a typical spoof – bad acting, bad lines and a bad plot
