The latest in a long line of alien sci-fi movies, Battle: Los Angeles is yet another take on the “malevolent aliens exterminating Earth’s human population in order to plunder our natural resources” premise, but with grittier cinematography and Michelle Rodriguez instead of Will Smith. Don’t expect anything in the way of witty dialogue, character development or plot twists – just sit back, switch off your brain and enjoy.
