Dinner’s ready!
Abu Dhabi Week never misses an episode of the UK TV hit show Come Dine With Me, but if you’ve never seen or heard of the show before, now’s your chance to grab your apron, get involved and see what all the fuss is about – for a good cause too. Feline Friends’ Homing and Fostering Co-ordinator Tracy Webb-Collins came up with the idea when brainstorming for the perfect gift for her husband. “It all came about because I wanted to do something different for my husband for his birthday – he’s a big foodie and loves to entertain. Then the idea to do it for charity came and that's when I put it out there,”
she explains.

Here’s how it works:
Four amateur chefs will compete against each other by each hosting a dinner party for the other contestants. Each competitor then rates the host’s performance out of ten, and the host with the top scores wins! The money raised will go towards Abu Dhabi’s two main animal rescue organisations Strays of Abu Dhabi and the Feline Friends, as well as Maids Safehouse.

How to enter:
1.    Send in your name, contact details and dates available (you must be available for 4 nights in a row), along with any food preferences or allergies
2.    Names will then be drawn and the foodies will be contacted
3.    Pay the AED 250 entrance fee which will go towards the charity of that week.
4.    Create a menu and post it to this Wordpress blog: www.comedinewithmeinabudhiab.wordpress.com
5.    Each night, contestants will rate the hosts and send their scores in out of 10 by email, along with any constructive comments

When? “I plan to run it as soon as I get enough people,” says Tracy. “I have about ten people interested but due to allergies or work related reasons it’s very hard to get it off the ground, but I reckon we’ll get it up and running in the next two-four weeks.”
