Rock out to a one-off performance by The Straits, featuring two original members of iconic British band, Dire Straits, marking the end of Abu Dhabi’s fortnight-long Volvo Ocean Race stopover at the event’s Destination Village on the Corniche Breakwater.

Scheduled to take to the stage at 9pm for a 90-minute set, The Straits’ Abu Dhabi performance will see Alan Clark and Chris White belt out classics such as Telegraph Road, Sultans of Swing, Money for Nothing and Brothers in Arms.

“Fantastic musical acts have been a core component in Abu Dhabi’s maiden Volvo Ocean Race stopover and it is perfectly fitting that The Straits – performing one of the most recognisable back catalogues in the business – will close out our entertainment at the Destination Village on the eve of the fleet’s departure,” said Faisal Al Sheikh, ADTA’s events manager.
