The UAE Philharmonic Orchestra (UAEPO) was founded in order to answer the need for an orchestra in the UAE. UAEPO performs not only classical arrangements, but also a blend of European and Arabic music, specially arranged to reflect the modern and diverse culture of the UAE. Friday 17th June sees UAEPO’s last performance of the season at Al Jaheeli Theatre in the Armed Forces Officers Club. The concert will feature works by Antonin Dvorak and Bedrich Smetana as well as the premiere of Orchestral Fantasy about the National Anthem of the UAE, composed by Conductor and Artistic Director Philip Maier.
