Hassan Sharif is a pioneer of Emirati art and culture. He is a major figure in the artistic community of the UAE and as such is deeply associated with the modern history and culture of the UAE. The exhibition on display at the Qasr Al Hosn Cultural Quarter Hall is the first major monographic exhibition of Sharif’s works in the UAE – it includes much of his early works (his “experiments”), specifically involving objects as well as a showing his conceptual and systemic drawings.
