Take note: With the total number of people in desperate need of medical and social aid fast approaching 20 million due to the recent floods in Pakistan, two UAE based retailers are launching an innovative recycling scheme to raise much needed funds for Unicef.
Emax electronics and Choithrams supermarkets, in conjunction with The Green Foundation, have launched electronics drop boxes in all UAE stores allowing consumers to deposit unwanted mobile phones, laptops, digital cameras, MP3 players and games consoles. Every item will be 100 percent recycled to the highest industry standards with any proceeds being donated to Unicef.
The scheme will be running for a number of weeks in all UAE Emax and Choithrams stores including Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
