21st April: UK-based band Toploader, best known for the hit single ‘Dancing in the Moonlight’, will perform for the first time ever in Abu Dhabi at The Club. Members and their guests will hear brand new tracks from their latest album as well as old favourites. Doors open 7pm. The support act will play at 8.30pm, then Toploader at 9.30pm. Tickets cost AED 125 for members and AED 150 for their guests.
22nd April: The Abu Dhabi Dramatic Society is having a dinner show at The Club in which they will perform the one-act play ‘Last Tango in Little Grimley’. Please note that this event is for members of the club and their guests only. Doors open 7.30pm, dinner starts at 8pm and the play will follow at 9pm. 25th April: The Australian Embassy in Abu Dhabi invites you to a dawn service to commemorate ANZAC Day at the Hiltonia Gardens. Guests are kindly asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to the service which will start promptly at 5am. 25th April: Aussies Abroad will once again host a sunset service in celebration of ANZAC Day, which will commemorate those Australian, New Zealander and Turkish men and women who fought and died in war, and to reflect on the many different meanings of war. 29th April: The Special Care Centre is throwing their 2nd annual charity gala dinner. The evening, which will be held at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr hotel looks to build on last year’s tremendous success as they continue to earnestly raise funds to build new premises in Abu Dhabi.
Last year the Special Care Centre raised more than AED 600,000. This year, they’d like to get to AED 1 million!
