Armchair travel

There aren’t too many websites in the UAE that can sell you things online, which comes as a bit of surprise to many expats used to credit-card purchasing 24/7 from the comfort of their sofa. So Safar Travel & Tourism, the travel arm of the Al Fahim Group, has something of a rarity – the first fully-fledged independent travel website in the Middle East that lets you select and pay for everything you need online. Safar reckons is the only travel agency in the region with a complete online portfolio—global flight bookings, cruises, holiday packages, hotel reservations, tours, theatre tickets, excursions, worldwide car hire, insurance “and much more”. Try it: www.safar.ae
