Happy holidays

Well, we’ve finally put our last issue of 2011 to bed and what a year it’s been! We’ve met so many interesting personalities, eaten our way around the Emirate’s restaurants and in every issue we’ve tried to talk about something new (or old) in Abu Dhabi that everyone is able to enjoy.

This week is no exception, and because it’s the end of the year and our final issue, we thought we’d give you something extra. Instead of two features, there are three (to make up for the fact that we’ll be skipping next week’s issue), plus we’ve bumped up the front section.

So this week you can read all about the Volvo Ocean Race and the unique Destination Village that has sprung up on the Capital’s Breakwater. Take a stroll around the streets of Paris in our monthly Etihad Airways travel feature (and be in with a chance to win tickets for two to the city of love). Then you can see Abu Dhabi from a new perspective, as one of our intrepid staff writers takes to the saddle to bring you a round up of all things equestrian.

We also wanted to take this opportunity to thank you, our readers, for being so loyal and for constantly telling us what you do (and don’t) like about our magazine. We really enjoy hearing from you so please stay in touch in 2012.

It’s going to be a new and exciting year for us as we say goodbye to some old faces and welcome some new ones. Although we’re always very sad to see people leave, we hope a bit of fresh blood will spice up our creative melting pot!

All that’s left is for me to say thank you Abu Dhabi, we love you, happy holidays and we’ll see you in 2012! Megan Wynes

Have your say
